Ya’ thi Néné means lands of the north, and we are the stewards of that land.

Protecting the land, Promoting the people.

That’s why Ya’thi Néné Lands and Resources is dedicated to the environmental and socio-economic sustainability of our ancestral Denesųłiné homeland.

What’s New

The EXPORT Database is the future of employment in the Athabasca Basin.

The Duty to Consult is key.

We’re the watchdogs of the Basin, making sure that development is in everyone’s best interest.

Ya’ thi Néné makes sure the voices of our elders and community members are heard.

Share the work, share the wealth.

Ya’ thi Néné Lands and Resources was established by the seven Athabasca Basin communities in collaboration with Northern industrial partners for the long-term benefit of the Athabasca Denesųłiné First Nations and Athabasca Communities.

We’re here to help you.

Ya’ thi Néné Lands and Resources are the administrators of the Trust— a fund designed to benefit members of the Athabasca First Nations and Athabasca Communities. The Trust also supports the ongoing Collaboration Agreement between the Athabasca First Nations and Communities and their northern industry partners.

We know the Basin, because we are the basin.

Our children are our future. Let’s make sure they have the skills to keep our Denesųłiné way of life alive.

Ya’ thi Néné Lands and Resources helps to make sure that Athabasca post-secondary students have opportunity to grow and learn so they feel empowered to contribute to our communities and become tomorrow’s leaders.
