Duty to Consult: Orano’s Waterbury Cigar Project

Who? Orano Canada Ltd.

Where? The Waterbury Cigar Project is located about 70 km west-northwest of Wollaston Lake Post.

What type of activities will occur? Diamond exploration activities, including:

• Drilling of 40 holes, on land and ice; drill pads of 30 x 30 m

• Possibility of multiple drill holes per pad; in those cases, drill pads may exceed 30 x 30 m

• Bore hole surveys on existing drill holes

• Establishment of up to 20 km of new trail of 5 m width

• Use of 25 km of existing trail and 40 km of ice road

• Cores stored at existing storage sites; creation of 20 m fire guard around storage sites

• No temporary camp location

When will these activities occur (Permit Length)? Permit issuance from June 2023 to December 2024
