Uranium City Community Information: Cameras at Bushell Bay

Who?  Parsons Inc. on behalf of Imperial Oil

Where? Bushell Inlet on Lake Athabasca, near Uranium City

What type of activities will occur? Monitoring of groundwater seeping from the bedrock outcrop at the old Imperial Oil bulk plant site

·         Monitor possible petroleum in groundwater seeping from the rock face

·         To do this, time-lapse cameras will be installed along the shoreline

·         Beginning in May 2023 and continue throughout the year

·         If cameras work, more cameras will be installed next year to increase the observation area
