Duty to Consult: Denison Mines Corp. Proposed Wheeler River Project 2021 Exploration Program

What type of activities will occur?

1.    40 drill holes, total of 13, 400 meters.

2.    If conditions allow; ice roads will be developed for quicker access.

3.    Drill holes may be located within the 30 – 100 metres shoreline buffer zone. This application is requesting permission to access shoreline buffer zone, if needed.

4.    All clearing within 100 meters of any waterbody or watercourse will be hand cut, unless otherwise approved and the approach to any waterbody or watercourse will be doglegged. Existing access points will be used whenever possible.

5.    The planned new drill trail may occupy approximately an area up to 1 ha, but with appropriate conditions, ice roads will be used to minimize the need for new trail.

6.    Maximum total area covered by drill pads will be 3.6 ha but may be much less due to drill hole placement on existing cleared areas (due to proximity to historic drilling), as well also having access to existing drill trail to the drill pad location.

When will these activities occur?

Current permitting allows the drilling program to continue to March 31st, 2021 (the proposed program is a completion of the 2020 permitted program) so this permit request is to allow a summer drilling program in 2021, once the 2020 permits expire.

Permit Length: If approved, January 2021 to December 31, 2021.
