Duty to Consult Mineral Exploration Orano Canada Inc. 2021 to 2023 Close Lake Project Application Proposed Gravity Geophysical Survey & Drilling Program

What type of activities will occur?

  1. Proposed project work consists of line cutting and slashing up to 100 kilometers for the ground gravity geophysical survey and drilling up to 30 drill holes.

  2. The geophysical survey lines will not exceed 1.5-meters wide and will be carried out with hand tools, consisting of either a chainsaw or axe.

  3. The area will be accessed by using historic roads and trails as much as possible and includes a proposal to develop up to 20 kilometers of new trails.

  4. Trails will not exceed a 5-meter width and drill pads that will not exceed 900 m2 (30 m x 30 m).

  5. Drill pad reclamation will require that all cleared trees be spread evenly along the drill site to allow for the areas to naturally regenerate and return to the pre-disturbance state.

When will these activities occur (Permit Length)? If approved, December 2021 to June 2023.
