Duty to Consult: Proposed Uranium Exploration Activities – 2021 – 2023 Mineral Exploration Permit Application for the Waterbury/Cigar Lake Project

What type of activities will occur?

1.      Proposed project work will consist of up to 25 drill holes, 13 on ice and 12 on land.

2.      Opening 50 km of new trail, utilizing 75 km of existing trail.

3.      Building 75 km of ice road.

4.      If approved new trails will be cleared to 5 meter (m) maximum width, cut lines to no more than 1.5 m in width, and drill pads to a maximum of 900 m2. 

5.      Personnel would be staying at either a Temporary Work Camp or the existing Cigar Lake Mine site.

6.      Project work is tentatively scheduled to commence in December 2021, with permits potentially issued through June 2023. 

When will these activities occur (Permit Length)? If approved, December 2021 till June 2023.
