Duty to Consult: Forum Fir Island Uranium Project

What type of activities will occur?

  • The proposed Forum project includes line-cutting and geophysical surveys, and is estimated to last approximately 4 to 5 weeks.

  • Proposed work consists of approximate 30-line km of line-cutting, with a maximum width of 1.5 meters.

  • This project will also include resistivity survey on the ice of Black Lake, beginning on the north shore of Fir Island, continuing to the mainland shore to the north.

When will these activities occur (Permit Length)?

Project work is tentatively scheduled to commence at the beginning of December 2021, upon receipt of approval. So long as the Forum Fir Island project details remain consistent with what has been proposed permits may be issued through to the end of June 2023 to ensure the proponent has adequate time to complete the work.
